Knee Toe Heel Carry Over

Hold on to the wall with your feet together and your arms fully extended. Raise your left knee toward your chest and pause. Reach your left leg down and behind you, placing your toes on the floor. Lower your left heel to the floor and hold for a slow count of five to ten seconds. Lift your extended left leg toward the surface behind you as high as comfortable and pause. Staying as high as comfortable, swing your left leg around to the wall on your left. Touch the wall with your left toes and pause. Return your left leg to the starting position and repeat for 30 seconds. Change to your right leg and repeat for 30 seconds.
Variations:
  • After pausing with your raised foot, raise your foot one to three inches higher and pause again.
  • While your raised leg is against the wall, lift the heel of your support foot and pause.
  • Draw circles, numbers or letters with the foot that is suspended under your raised knee.
  • Alternate right and left sides.
  • While your leg is extended out to the side, lower and raise your leg before continuing to the wall.
